We're looking to add a Digital Sales Planner to the Chicago Tribune Media Group's team! The Digital Sales Planner will be responsible for coordinating the pre-sales portion of securing the local market teams advertising campaigns across all CTMG products. This person will be the main point of contact for checking available inventory for the advertising sales team & clients, communicating and collaborating with the CTMG Fulfillment Teams and all other sales support functions as directed. 


  • Execution of Contests and Quizzes
  • Develop and maintain Digital Sales material
  • Create and maintain a singular point of reference for all information & processes regarding digital sales execution including but not limited to needed forms, workflow, FAQs and step by step guides by platform
  • Work with the Analytics Specialist to develop and maintain holistic dashboards and data visualization from Tap Analytics, Google Analytics and other data sources and websites that support stakeholders and various business functions
  • Work with the DTL’s and research department, when pertinent, to create compelling presentations that close
  • Collaborate across departments as the project management lead on the execution of top accounts
  • Perform ROI analysis of marketing channels (paid search, SEO, affiliates, social media, online display, email, others) to determine best ROAS opportunities as directed
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute digital marketing programs
  • Facilitate tag management and pixel tracking systems and trouble shoot implementation
  • Execute paid search, programmatic and social campaigns as directed

  • Strong analytical skills, passion for data, and curiosity to get insights
  • Experience in media, digital marketing, or e-commerce environments preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate in cross-functional team environment, able to influence decision makers
  • Proficiency with a range of relevant digital marketing platforms including, but not limited to, DFP, facebook business manager, Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SiteScout and Tap Analytics
