Hoy, a Hispanic media outlet of Chicago Tribune Media Group, is seeking a driven, digitally savvy outside sales professional to sell our portfolio of advertising solutions.
The right candidate will be able to cultivate and develop new business, assume sales and service responsibility for assigned accounts, develop and implement advertising solutions and provide exceptional customer service. An uncompromising commitment to driving results and delivering customer satisfaction are a must. Success with new and existing accounts will be achieved by applying strategic solutions across the Chicago Tribune Media Group portfolio, capturing increased market share from competitors, and exceeding customer expectations in delivering desired results. - Garnish new clients and grow existing business, proactively cultivate new business prospects.
- Quotes prices, prepare proposals and provide information regarding terms of sales.
- Grow and maintain revenue within assigned book of business.
- Meet with prospective and current clients to close direct sales of products and/or services in order to meet and exceed advertising revenue goals.
- Develop strategic solutions that meet the unique needs of each client to help meet their objectives.
- Sell effectively with the use of market research into print, digital, events and in-house agency.
- Monitor competitive media and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Uncover new/incremental revenue streams from competitive media.
- Become actively involved in Hispanic and other multicultural community and events.
- Provide regular reports to management including sales recaps and customer feedback, as well as documenting appointments and sales efforts in various tracking systems.

- At least 1-3 years successful outside sales experience, previous media sales experience a plus!
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.
- Strength in negotiation and problem solving.
- College degree preferred.
- Spanish language and/or knowledge of Hispanic community a plus!
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
